Quest: Gas Fees
Gas is the unit that measures the computational effort required to execute operations on the Ethereum network.
- Operations include:
- Sending ETH.
- Interacting with a smart contract.
- Deploying a new contract.
Users of the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) must buy Gas with Ether to perform these operations. This allows developers to focus on computational work units without being affected by Ether's market price.
Gas prices are measured in gwei, where:
- 1 gwei = 0.000000001 ETH
The fluctuations in gas prices are significant, and at times, making Ethereum transactions can become very expensive.
Task
- Visit this website: Historical Gas Price in Ether (Gwei units)
- The quest will validate when you visit the Historical Gas Price chart in Ethereum page.
